From the new Dyson Airwrap to Euphoria-inspired Half Magic makeup, 2022 gave us some of the best beauty products in our collections for years to come. This year’s launches were so impressive, in fact, that countless beauty buffs were inspired to revamp their routines—myself included. By this summer I had swapped my longtime foundation for 2022’s Kosas Revealer Foundation! 2021-me never would’ve thought.

Anytime someone asks for my favorite purchase of 2022 (which happens more than one might think), I say my Dyson AirWrap. I know it’s expensive, but it completely changed my hair-care and styling routine. Drying and styling time has been cut in half, and my hair actually looks good when I do it myself, which allowed me to stop getting so many professional blowouts. And seeing as it replaced my blow-dryer, straightener, and so many Drybar appointments, I think it’s more than worth it—and has very likely paid itself off by now. —Danielle Sinay, associate beauty editor
